Shopper Activation Marketing Executive – 12 month fixed term contract

Location: Welwyn Garden City – Hybrid working

Salary up to £30k dependent upon experience + potential bonus + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Shopper Activation Marketing Executive to join our CDT “Commercial Development team” in the UKI market to support our Shopper Activation Managers to execute activation plans for brand and account activity helping to maximise investment across our customer base.

You will also support creating and managing activation calendar in collaboration with Sales and Marketing to deliver against key stakeholder objectives with key focus areas being shipper artwork management and trade press.

A day in the life of a Shopper Activation Marketing Executive …

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with shopper marketing managers and the sales team to create and deploy shipper artwork to allow the placement of these secondary sites in key customers.

  • Working collaboratively with the Shopper Activation Managers, Sales & Marketing teams to ensure brand priorities and NPD are executed in specified accounts in-store / online. Create annual retailer plan and manage execution.

  • Leading the creation of trade press annual plan and management of artwork creation via agency ensuring timely delivery to publisher, with the support of the shopper activation managers.

  • Supporting Shopper Activation Managers in briefing agencies in the creation of shopper/communication tools including concept creation, artwork, production and distribution (physical and digital).

  • Working with the relevant marketing team/agencies to ensure all materials produced are on brand and have the appropriate brand, legal and regulatory sign off.

  • Supporting Shopper Activation Managers to update and communicate the monthly calendar of comms and activation activities by channel/customer to key stakeholders.

  • Supporting the Shopper Activation Managers in the control of the shopper budget.

What will make you successful

We are looking for strong organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Shopper / marketing experience would be ideal but not essential as this is a coordinator role with the opportunity to develop shopper skills.

Experience within a commercial environment would be preferable. You will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Pro-activity and enthusiasm are essential elements for this role, as well as creative thinking and being able to work in an environment that can often be ambiguous. You’ll also:

  • Demonstrate great time management and a sense of responsibility and accountability

  • Have excellent communication skills with great interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Be comfortable when working collaboratively and cross functionally

  • Act as an ambassador for our business

  • Be able to create highly visual Powerpoint documents

  • Have Advanced IT skills
