Position Summary

The Utilities Supervisor is accountable for maintenance, equipment repair, regulatory requirements, safety and sanitation requirements. This position will lead projects involving installation, modification, or renovation of past building and equipment, while collaborating with corporate engineers, suppliers, contractors, and plant partners to ensure customer needs are met. The Utilities Supervisor will lead efforts to upgrade the facility for efficiency, safety and reliability, labor costs, hiring, scheduling, and development of maintenance partners in team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Supervises more than 10 skilled trade employees within the maintenance department, assess work prioritization and adjust work based upon machine and production standards using technical skill and knowledge to ensure peak performance and standards

•Make decisions in cooperation with production management for scheduling purposes and work prioritization

•Ensure follow up on necessary work orders and completion of tasks

•Use knowledge and expertise in the area to appropriately direct as well as troubleshoot appropriate machinery and processes

•Participates in setting technical direction for utility and facilities design adherence while adhering to Nestle Standards

•Provides utility and facilities design support for plant expansions, equipment installations, and changes or modifications to existing systems

•Maintains and updates the database of electronic and hard copy documents that supports utilities and infrastructure

•Coordinates, in a timely manner, the obtaining and submitting of utilities and infrastructure equipment preventive maintenance routines and spare parts to maintenance to ensure documentation and parts arrive for commissioning and startup

•Acts as the utility and infrastructure resource for the construction team on specification and drawing clarification

•Provide technical training and validation support to sanitation, quality, operation, maintenance, and utility team members for incoming utilities and facilities systems in new and existing factory operations to meet safety and quality objectives

•Provides leadership and technical support to the plant energy team

•Aggressively manages energy usage; develops and implements Energy Conservation programs and projects; reports Energy results, budgets, etc

•Maintains P&ID drawings database for all utility processes and systems and the process for updating with new installations and changes/modifications

•Provides project management and technical engineering support for factory operations and minor projects involving modification and/or installation of new systems. Administer design, preparation of cost and timing schedules, installation, qualification and commissioning before turnover to Production

•Serves as a technical resource for the plant ERT in areas of Utilities, Hazardous Materials, Fire Protection and Life Safety

REQUIREMENTS

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering / or related degree / experience

5+ years Work experience in utility and facility engineering or closely related field 2 years experience in supervision of skilled trades
