Position Description:

This position gathers and interprets financial information effectively and forms data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. Identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities.

This position is highly service oriented and at this level, the analyst continues to develop his/her financial and technical skills, and interacts with cross-functional teams throughout the organization. The analyst exercises good judgment, stays focused on results, and ensures the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

This position will be heavily involved in multiple projects within Manufacturing and COGS (Cost of goods sold) areas with cross-streams interactions such as Decision Support, Factory Finance, Technical Controlling and Cost Management. Involvement will range from participating to leading projects related to various costing tools/systems, process improvements and new business requirements (e.g. acquisitions and divestures).

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Support monthly COGS tool execution, analysis, account reconciliation and error handling activity; assuming back up responsibilities. Reconciliation includes all balance sheet and P&L accounts vs. COGS reporting. Develop queries that will assist Division Finance and CoC Decision Support in their monthly analytics.

  2. Maintain and update all master data costing tables in SAP including standard price updates required during the Material Life Cycle (MLC) process for all new Finished Goods. Accuracy and first time quality is critical in this role because, once activated, all material movements for that specific material will occur at the standard cost entered for the material.

  3. Assist in the completion of Material Standard Costs for the annual Operating Plan. Develop tools to analyze year over year variances that will assist in the accuracy of the data and the OP P&L

  4. Participate and/or lead various projects within COGS and Manufacturing areas related to costing systems tool changes, process improvements and business driven initiatives.


  • BA/BS degree required. Major or minor in Accounting or Finance, or BA/BS degree with coursework up to and including intermediate accounting preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Costing preferred

  • Prior experience in Manufacturing/ Operations preferred

  • Must be willing to travel 10% of time.


  • Strong SAP/technical knowledge

  • Ability to drive and lead change

  • Ability to convert data, interpret and analyze to make business decisions
