The consumer journey continues to experience unprecedented change and retail media plays a vital role in unlocking full business and omni-channel growth objectives. Winning in this environment requires strong expertise in media, understanding of omni-channel commerce, consumer marketing, technology, and analytics. As the Senior Manager, Retail Media, you will be responsible for leading planning, activation, optimization and measurement of Retail Media investments across Nestle USA brands. You will provide counsel and expertise to both Marketing and Sales on how to best solve critical business issues through leveraging retail media platforms and provide thought leadership to the organization at large on both established and emerging retail media players both locally and globally.

This role is based in the Arlngton, VA office or remote in New York.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in media and the evolving retail media eco-system across key channels for Nestle USA (Mass, Grocery, Pure Play, Last Mile Delivery, Club, and Value)

  • Lead the retail media practice within the Media Center of Excellence team at Nestle USA, provide thought leadership, and best practices both internally (local & global) and externally (partners & agencies)

  • Establish and evolve media best practices and adherence to Nestle guidelines for Retail Media, especially as it relates performance, transparency, efficiency and brand safety requirements across all investments

  • Lead retail media JBP negotiations and steward relationships with key retail media platforms to ensure success of our investments across all tactics, get access to emerging opportunities (ex: new tactics, technology, capabilities) and continue to test & learn to effect business impact

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, E-Comm to understand enterprise/scale, brand, retailer, E-Comm growth objectives and translate these priorities into actionable retail media campaigns that drive omni-channel demand and conversion.

  • Define Ways of Working across cross-functional teams and manage evolution based on business needs & changes

  • Spearhead education needs for the greater organization when it comes to Retail Media by prioritizing relevant topics as well as creating the content to be cascaded

  • Lead E2E planning for our total portfolio across all key accounts utilizing mix of appropriate tactics that unlock omni channel conversion/ growth and connect to full funnel initiatives

  • Manage and evolve agency scope; oversee agency team and day-to-day execution as well as longer term, strategic projects

  • Provide guidance, feedback, mentorship for direct report

  • Drive results through rigorous optimizations and ensure all KPIs are exceeding benchmarks

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 10+ years of experience; 5-7+ years at Client or Agency leading strategic planning and activation with a strong focus on Commerce/ Retail Media. CPG experience preferred

  • Must have retail media expertise working with commerce platforms (ex: WMC, Amazon, Instacart, Kroger, Albertsons, ADUSA, Dollar General, etc.), technology partners (ex: Pacvue), and DSPs

  • Strong familiarity with Retail Customer/ Vendor Enterprise JBP process and how Retail Media JBP fits into the overall architecture. Experience directly managing Retail Media JBP negotiations is required

  • Previous experience managing high volume of digital investment across a large portfolio of brands (15+ years), full funnel experience preferred

  • Previous experience managing direct reports preferred

  • Must have experience leading the development of strategic retail media recommendations and managing investment and activation across different digital tactics (ex: Display, Search). Needs to have intimate familiarity how these programs also impact total OMNI campaigns (ex: in-store, promos) and vice versa.

  • Needs to be results/ performance driven and can demonstrate past business performance success. Have strong business and financial acumen.

  • Strong communicator, with ability to translate complex digital media concepts into simplified terms that non-media/ non-retail stakeholders can understand

  • Collaborative strengths to develop relationships cross functionally and with external agency and platform partners

  • Understand media operations and requirements (Budgets, Reporting, Billing, etc.)

  • Up to 20% travel over the course of the year

The approximate pay range for this position is $195,000 to $200,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
