Position Snapshot

  • Undergraduates or Graduates in Economics / Engineering

  • Full-time internship (6 months)

  • Fluency in Italian and English is required

  • Starting date: July 2024

Position Summary

The resource will work in the Transportation HUB South Europe organization as Transportation Optimizer & Scheduling Specialist, in a dynamic environment taking opportunity to make experience on different Nestle businesses (Food & Beverages / Petfood / Frozen / Confectionary).

Main activities will include:

  • Support transport planning team in order to guarantee the best optimization of shipments;

  • Monitor and manage carrier capacity difficults in collaboration with Capacity Specialist and Procurement;

  • Collaborate with Warehouse, DSP and Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements and on time delivery;

  • Monitor the achievement of KPIs based on agreed target (costs, vehicle utilization, carrier ranking etc.);

A day in the life of the Transportation Optimizer and Scheduling:

  • Utilize our tools (SAP TM, Excel…) to create and plan shipments

  • Ensure customer requirements being respected

  • Ensure compliance with operational warehouse cutoffs

  • Be cost and service level driven

  • Monitor the achievement of KPIs based on agreed timings

  • Create a strong connection with Warehouse, DSP and Customer Service

  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team in order to increase our operational performance;

  • Challenge yourself to improve your job and develop new skills
