POSITION SUMMARY

The CDT Lead will be responsbile for the day-to-day activities and overlooking the overall category development & growth within the cluster by driving focus on Channel/customer plans based on shopper insights, while driving the commercial execution agenda combined with developing compelling selling stories within the cluster, to deliver on the category’s strategies and growth expectations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Adapt & Prioritize category growth opportunities and main drivers based on shopper data, customer needs and consumer demand moments.

  • Consolidate, communicate, proactively monitor and review the performance of the category while guiding the sales community on category priorities and growth expectations to be embedded within the ICP/MPBC processes.

  • Understand and Develop channel solutions and contribute to build commercially aligned business cases and key initiatives by leveraging BU strategies and directions.

  • Develop & execute the right promotional guidelines/policies, customer investment and portfolio mix across channels & customers based on agreed brand pricing strategies delivered from the BU on a market level.

  • Create and execute shopper relevant activations that drive category growth at Channel and/or key customer level while fully understanding and leveraging the shopper agenda and purchasing dynamics within the Cluster.

  • Manage the roll-out of the Category Picture of Success and take the necessary actions to improve our ability to achieve our targets across the market by driving Channel solutions across OPCs in coordination with the CDT team on the ground.

  • Lead and Develop the Cluster CDT Leads (team) from a talent, performance and capability building perspective to help grow the business.

What will make you successful…

  • 3-5 years rounded commercial manager that hails from a CDT/Senior Channel management background and possesses.

  • An appreciation and understanding of Shopper need states.

  • Knowledge of Customers - Traditional Retailer, Digital & Out of Home operations.

  • Up to date awareness of Competitors & understanding of customer strategies.

  • Commercial experience (incl. revenue, profit, promo activity, pricing etc.)

  • Strategic Revenue Management experience.

  • Understanding and incorporating Category Strategies, Trends, Channel and Customers & Shopper opportunities.

  • Strategic thinking & Stakeholder management.

  • Advanced knowledge of key business processes (ICP, MBP & DF, DCG, BBNW, Marketplace).

  • Advanced understanding of shopper, market intelligence sources, category/channel/shopper trends.

  • Advanced knowledge of key commercial functions and priorities. Customer Management.
