Position Summary

Our factory in Dunkirk, located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, is a hidden gem situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With its picturesque Great Lakes waterfront, beautiful beaches, ski resorts, vineyards, and boutique wineries, our associates take great pride in calling Dunkirk their home. Since its establishment in 1971, the factory has undergone several expansions to accommodate the growing production of beloved household brands such as Pro Plan®, Beggin®, T-Bonz®, and Busy®.

In line with Nestlé's sustainability efforts, the Dunkirk facility has achieved "Zero Waste to Disposal" status. This means that all discarded materials are directed to specialized destinations that focus on recovering the ecological and/or economic value of the material. Additionally, we are actively pursuing water recycling technology to increase water efficiency by an estimated 10 percent. Our commitment to sustainability extends to our energy usage as well. We have already increased our renewable energy usage to 73.8 percent and are on track to achieve 100 percent renewable energy by 2025.

As a Controls Electrician you will be responsible for the maintenance on plant systems, which will include facilities, unloading, processing, packing and warehouse operations. You will troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment. always Working in a safe manner, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our electrician’s work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance.

  • Plant Maintenance, Environmental, Utilities and Facility support.

  • Assists Maintenance and Controls team with the upgrade of existing control systems, programmable logic controllers and other technically advance systems and devices.

  • Understands best use and application of fasteners.

  • Understands and can calculate gear ratios.

  • Plan layout of motor installation.

  • Manage and inspect electrical installations.

  • Set up an AC/DC drive.

  • Install and set up other instrumentations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 1+ years of electrical, electronics, or related maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

Other

  • Associates Degree in electronics, computer science, or related discipline or a computer electrical apprenticeship preferred

  • Must be comfortable working third shift

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $33.55 an hour for an Electrician Class I rate. The pay progression plan follows: Electrician Class II $36.68, Electrician Class III $38.15, Controls Electrician Class IV $39.69. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
