The role
We are looking for an IT Product Owner - R&D Food Safety to be part of our R&D IT team .
R&D Information Technology (IT) is the stream in Nestlé IT in charge of powering the R&D function with IT capabilities to drive company growth through breakthrough research than can be translated quickly into products and services.
Digital technologies are triggering a crucial, comprehensive transformation of R&D organizations, and Nestlé is no exception. For this reason, Nestlé R&D has developed a strategy to leverage digital to accelerate time to value, protect the core and unlock new opportunities, for example, by leveraging consumer insights to drive innovation and renovation.
Safety and quality by design is a Big Bet in R&D’s digital transformation strategy, and it relies on and contributes to the Food Safety unified cross-functional data asset. This is encapsulated in the R&D Food Safety IT capability, which is composed of several applications spanning contaminants management, impact and risk assessments, analytical databases and proficiency tests. As an IT Product Owner, your will ensure adequate Sustain and Evolve of the R&D Food Safety application(s) in your scope.
What you’ll do
For the R&D Food Safety application(s) in your scope, you will:
Ensure secure and reliable operation, as well as cost-effective maintenance.
Drive adoption and usage to increase value.
Translate the R&D Food Safety strategy to an Evolve roadmap.
Capture user insights to feed the Evolve roadmap.
Prioritize the Evolve roadmap backlog with the R&D stakdeholders.
For in-house built applications, liaise with the development team(s) to ensure delivery of the Evolve roadmap.
For third-party applications, influence the vendor(s) roadmap to fit the R&D Food Safety strategy.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably computer science or field related to the product.
Demonstrated experience as IT product owner, ideally in a product-based IT organization.
Experience with JIRA and Service Now, particularly with Confluence and APM, respectively.
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization, and in global, virtual teams.
Data-driven decision making, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data used for making decisions.
Fluency in English.
