POSITION SUMMARY:

The Factory Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Specialist actively supports the implementation of the Local Leadership Team (LLT) improvement strategy. The role acts as the center of expertise for Industrial Performance. This role is a member of the Local Leadership Team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports definition, alignment, and implementation of the Local Leadership Team Execution Plan:

  • Co-develop Local Leadership improvement strategy that considers:

  • Factory OMP

  • Loss Analysis / External Benchmarks

  • 3 years planned progression of KPI's, People and workplace transformation (Factory Vision).

  • Gain alignment from the LLT / Key Stakeholders around the Execution Plan and supports cascade across the Business Unit (Production Department communication strategy).

  • Partner with Local Leadership Team to define their Execution Plans to deliver the expected results that include:

  • NCE rollout plans

  • Other factory key enablers (Digital, CAPEX,etc)

  • Key improvement projects

  • Key competency building activities

  • External support requirements

Support the execution of the improvement plan by:

  • Ensures proper governance / routines at LLT levels to track execution progression and improvement sustainability

  • Spend time on shop floor to evaluate maturity progression and identify key opportunities.

  • Provide guidance and feedback to FLT/LLT and align on corrective actions to adjust execution plans

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Requires ability to work independently toward general results. Must originate, plan, adapt, invent, and contrive to accomplish tasks. Manager will coach rather than direct associate in solution of problems.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering required or 5 years of similar practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Employee must support and comply with all Company programs and policies including, but not limited to: affirmative action goals and commitments, SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence), TPM (Total Performance Management), GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Policies to ensure employee safety and product quality. Employee must meet all requirements related to NQMS (Nestle Quality Management System) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards for Quality, Food Safety, Environmental Compliance and Occupational Health and Safety.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Manufacturing.

  • 2-4 years working with Factory Management & Leadership team, with success in supporting & developing cross-functional teams.

  • 2-4 years with an active role on the implementation of Goal Alignment/TPM/Lean.

  • Understanding of cultural change management, process improvement and business connections.

  • Experience working with Line labor standards, Budget preparation/review, and line capability/speed studies.

  • 2-4 years working & developing improvement projects, loss analysis, & strong experience in leading /applying problem solving tools.

SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (TPM, etc.)

  • Problem Solving capabilities.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Basic understanding of Change Management

  • Competence on Continuous Improvement Guide (CIG)

  • Yellow and/or green belt certifications a plus

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes

  • Project Management competence

  • Understanding of Basic Finance & Value Creation

  • Knowledge of key data systems (SAP, DMO, Power BI, etc.)

  • Communication, computer literate
