POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is the leader in cascading and implementing internal Nestle compliance, overseeing upstream quality through vendor and raw material compliance, and supporting manufacturing in material and recipe management for Nestle Nutrition within the technical applications group. This role will provide technical matter expertise support throughout the organization, assisting with training QA experts and other stakeholders involved in vendor qualifications, ingredient supply management, roll-out of new internal Nestle requirements, and recipe compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Outputs:

  • Subject Matter Expert in raw material and vendor onboarding for internal factories and contract manufacturers, provide feedback and insight to drive recipes for compliance at the market to achieve Quality by Design

  • Approves Nestle specifications related to Innovation & Renovation and ensure projects and specifications used within the assigned factories and Co-Manufacturing.

  • Arbitrate and coordinate vendor discussions/alignments, SOP and Guideline roll-out, CAT updates, and other new Nestle requirements as QA market expert providing subject matter expertise.

Quality activities:

  • Provides and assists where appropriate, orientation and training on new or existing ingredient quality standards, with an emphasis on ingredient/vendor qualification.

  • Lead supplier visits and supplier investigation where required to support qualifications and quality concerns as well as supplier Audits where support is needed.

  • Review and approve Vendor Misalignments submitted by Ingredient Specialists

  • Support Inter-Market Supply with export market requests, recipe data and information.

Compliance activities:

  • Lead ingredient compliance in accordance with Nestle internal and external requirements and changes.

  • Lead in the authoring an approval of local SOPs and documents.

  • Ensure data is up to date on product compliance in the system for review.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferred Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years’ experience, preferred in Quality Assurance, Supplier Management, or Food Manufacturing related field of work.

  • 2+ years Managerial experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership and people development skills

  • Advanced leadership

  • Auditing, HACCP Certification, FSSC 22:000 Lead Auditor Certification experience a plus

  • Position requires approximately 15% travel.
