  • Msc Process Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or equivalent in technical and/or scientific discipline

  • You are fluent in English and the willingness to travel

  • Minimum 5-6 years in the corresponding technical field, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

Position Summary

You will be responsible to deliver Standardization in Process engineering by designing new Process machines, delivering Process technical documentation (P&ID, Equipment lists, Process functional descriptions,…), keeping updated existing Machine standard and technical platforms.

You will have to develop and conduct trainings for production and technical teams, supporting investment projects (Design & Capex preparation) and strategic procurement and assessing new suppliers for the whole Purina EMENA Zone, in order to transform Raw materials into a finish product ready to be packed.

You will ensure the application of human safety, food safety, hygienic and environmental engineering principles.

A day in the life of a Process Design Engineer :

  • Deliver Process Machine design and implement quality improvement program into technical platforms by providing technical specifications, preparing P&ID and Equipment lists, preparing Process functional description, conducting Machine design reviews, prepare commissioning protocols,…

  • Support project teams in commissioning new Process lines, monitoring modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes

  • Define and resolve Process problems through individual and team-based continuous improvement activities and structured problem solving methods

  • Support factories to comply with legal and corporate requirements for machine installations.

  • Support factory Master plans and other technical studies across EMENA, covering new production lines and manning, future production capacities, layouts and estimating the capital investments required.

  • In collaboration with Technical Procurement define maintain list of qualified suppliers.

  • Compare offers, make recommendations & participate in technical/commercial negotiations for the purchasing of equipment & technical services and the establishment of key supplier agreements.

  • Stay abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with R&D, outside organizations, suppliers & other professional contacts, periodicals, seminars, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with cross functional and multi-cultural teams

  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude willingness to travel

  • Collaborative team-player with positive attitude and a strong work-ethic

  • Minimum 5 years field experience (R&D or Operations), driving or supporting his/her area of expertise

  • Strong abilities in problem solving
