We are currently looking for a Regulatory Scientific Affairs Senior Manager to join our Operations team.

Location: Maslak, İstanbul

Type of contract: Permanent

As a Regulatory Scientific Affairs Senior Manager, you will have the following responsibilities;

Attract, develop and retain talents with required competencies (where appropriate) to deliver upon the regulatory strategic functions (advocacy, compliance, I&R, people), for all categories covered within the organisation (multiple businesses, from e.g. petfood to systems, through drugs, food, nutrition, confectionery and dairy.

Build an agile and business focused team (where appropriate), strategically supporting business growth and acting as business partners to all relevant functions, i.e. Marketing, Application Groups, QA, Nutrition, Legal and Public Affairs.

Lead strategic engagement with authorities (directly or through industry associations) at national, supranational and international (e.g. Codex meetings) level by sharing state of the art scientific arguments; discuss on a regular basis within divergent external environments and negotiate with external stakeholders, who may hold opposing objectives, regulations applying to multiple businesses to shape the regulatory landscape; lead relevant discussions at Advocacy committee/IRT.

Contribute directly to business growth by defining a regulatory strategy and a roadmap for the local organisation: ensure regulatory developments are followed for all categories, and regulatory risks are assessed, communicated internally and mitigated early enough to ensure product compliance and support business growth.

Analyse complex regulatory frame and conceptualise regulatory opportunities for new product development at early stages of I&R (through knowledge of regulatory trends and new regulatory developments).

Which profile are we looking for?

  • University degree

  • At least 10 years experience in different key positions in Food industry or relevant Trade Associations close to regulatory and product development.

  • Successful line management with direct and indirect reports and exposure across several functions.

  • Experience in effective networking.

  • Recognised leadership skills.

  • Masters knowledge of regulatory (theory and practice) across several different business categories.

  • Experience in building and implementing strategy in particular area.

  • Experienced in crisis management.

  • Exposed to more than one product category or GMBs.
