Job title: Junior Webmaster

Location: Montreal, QC located at 300 Léo-Pariseau, suite 2300 Montréal, QC Canada H2X 4B3; Hybrid

Position Summary

We are looking for a Junior Webmaster that will manage the activities related to daily content on digital networks (business-to-consumer [B2C], business-to-business [B2B] websites and mobile apps).

A day in the life of Junior Webmaster:

Contribute to e-commerce activities in the market

  • Support activities for e-commerce campaigns (configuration, testing and launch), including seasonal campaigns, and optimize website and app content to achieve business objectives.

  • Manage digital resources and complex HTML/CSS content to support global and local campaign activities

  • Liaise with all business and IT stakeholders to ensure that all digital content is up to date, relevant and consistent with the brand's global guidelines, security, content and business practices.

Optimize the user experience

  • Leverage operational knowledge and best practices on a global scale to influence the optimization of the online customer journey and purchase sequences during campaigns.

  • Guarantee excellence in performance and B2C and B2B customer experience by assessing and optimizing e-commerce networks (mobile and desktop) in the areas of research, e-merchandising, catalogue management and customization, as well as content, services and brand compliance.

Monitor day-to-day activities

  • Conduct website and application tests with IS/IT stakeholders to guarantee problem-free functioning when new features are introduced.

  • Identify potential operating issues and platform regressions, forward them to IS/IT and monitor correction. Know how to prioritize malfunctions based on the impact they have on users.

Role Requirements

  • Diploma relevant to the field of web and e-commerce

  • Bilingualism in English and French is required for this position. The role involves frequent and complex collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or internationally. These interactions necessitate a high level of proficiency in English to effectively perform the tasks associated with the job.

  • At least one year of experience in e-commerce and website maintenance using a content management system (CMS)

  • Use of at least one content management system (CMS)

  • Ability to perform tasks that require concentration and rigor in a software with a complex interface

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS languages

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of good practices in organic referencing (SEO)

  • Basic knowledge of good accessibility practices (WCAG)

  • Very good organizational skills to perform multiple tasks in parallel

  • Good management of time and deadlines

  • Both autonomous and very comfortable working in a team

  • Interest and curiosity for everything related to the web and mobile applications

  • Work experience with creative agencies (writing briefs)

  • Use of Google Analytics and Photoshop
