Position Summary

As a Financial Consolidation Analyst , you will be expert with specific expertise in IFRS complex accounting and reporting matters in particular in the area of merger & acquisitions, pensions and corporate annual report reporting. You will work for the Group’s Accounting and Reporting department.

You will prepare the internal & external reporting of Group Actuals (i.e. internal analysis for Management and Group’s financial statements published externally) including specific external disclosure requirements.

A Day in the Life of a Financial Consolidation Analyst

  • Work together with the Group Financial Consolidation team to ensure the publication of the Nestlé Group Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Be subject matter expert on specific IFRS requirements in day-to day activities with a particular involvement in the areas of merger & acquisitions (e.g. purchase price allocation, change in scope of consolidation and related accounting impacts), pensions (e.g. reporting as per actuarial valuations) and corporate annual report reporting (e.g. preparation of consolidated financial statements and related disclosure in the annual report)

  • Contribute actively to the preparation of management presentation in collaboration with the Senior Experts (e.g. accounting impacts of M&A, pension expense on performance, etc.)

  • Play an instrumental role in important projects in connection with the Group Financial Reporting process

What will make you successful

  • Master’s Degree in business and finance and with a post-graduate qualification in accounting and/or controlling (e.g. Qualified Chartered Accountant, ACCA, Brevet or equivalent)

  • 5 years as a minimum in accounting/audit, ideally acquired in Big 4 or international companies in a corporate consolidation department

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS financial accounting matters and in driving audit process, advisory or consultancy engagement in that domain. Experience in purchase price allocation is a plus

  • Good track record in finance and accounting projects and in driving changes within an internal F&C community

  • Strong leadership expertise and/or ability to communicate efficiently with a more senior line management and F&C leaders

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office especially Excel

  • Fluent in English a must, French and German are a plus
