Position Summary
As a Tax Accounting Specialist , you will be an expert in income tax accounting and will work for the Group’s Accounting and Reporting department.
You will prepare the internal & external reporting of Group actuals (i.e., internal analysis for Management and Group’s financial statements published externally), and actively work on different tax transparency initiatives and related reporting requirements (i.e., OECD / BEPS Country-by-Country & Pillar Two).

A Day in the Life of Tax Accounting Specialist
Work together with the Group Financial Consolidation team for the preparation of tax-related financial statements, disclosures, and footnotes for external reporting purposes in the Nestlé Group Consolidated Financial Statements
Be a reference person on income tax accounting matters, which also requires expertise in IFRS accounting matters, as well as consolidation processes
Collaborate with tax, finance, treasury, and accounting teams to gather necessary financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting and analysis
Work closely with the Tax and IT departments on the input that Group Accounting and Reporting provides to the tax accounting processes, which includes its digitalization (i.e., implementation and deployment of a new tax provisioning software, including streamlining Pillar 2 process implementation)
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary adjustments. This includes contributing actively to existing and new external reporting requirements linked to OECD/BEPS initiatives in the tax landscape (i.e., Country-by-Country Reporting, Pillar Two, etc.)
Contribute actively to the preparation of management presentations in collaboration with the Senior Experts
Coordinate with external auditors on tax accounting specific topics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide expert analysis on the tax accounting impact of tax-related projects and initiatives
What will make you successful
Master’s Degree in business and finance and with a post-graduate qualification in accounting and/or controlling (i.e., Qualified Chartered Accountant, ACCA, Brevet or equivalent)
5 years as a minimum in accounting/audit, ideally with tax accounting experience, acquired in Big 4 or international companies
In-depth knowledge of IFRS financial accounting matters and in driving audit process, advisory or consultancy engagement in that domain
Sound knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligation and Swiss GAAP FER is a plus as well as basic Swiss technical tax aspects
Good track record in finance, tax, and accounting projects and in driving changes within an internal F&C community
Strong leadership expertise and/or ability to communicate efficiently with a more senior line management and F&C leaders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Expertise in Microsoft Office especially Excel. Experience in tax provision software and financial reporting tools is a plus
Fluency in English is a must, French is a plus
